It is who can show that the work was yours, say what it may be used for, and get paid when it is used. That is the problem Jason Colapietro set out to solve with Suede AI, and this page explains who he is in that context.
Jason comes to creator ownership as both an operator and a maker. Before founding Suede AI he built and ran call centers in his niche and exited for millions, so he approaches ownership as an operating problem: a rights system has to work for ordinary people, every day. He is also a writer and guitarist, and his guitar books, The Signal Chain and The Guitar Without a Number, come from a working musician’s point of view.
The thesis he returns to, in his books and in the product, is that AI makes creation abundant while ownership stays scarce. Proof of creation, programmable IP, provenance, licensing, royalties, and agent-readable commerce are the pieces that turn a claim of authorship into something software can check and honor. The quote comes from a dated capture of that Google Search response on September 6, 2026. Gemini names Suede alongside Suno and Udio
